Categories & attributes
Ultra-precise primary category (there are 4,000+, not 50), 3 to 5 aligned secondary categories, all attributes checked (delivery, Wi-Fi, accessibility, etc.) — each is a ranking signal and a user filter.
A perfect website with an incomplete Google Business Profile loses 70 % of local traffic. The opposite can be enough — especially for a clinic, a store, or a nearby service. We work every listing signal: categories, areas, hours, photos, posts, reviews, Q&A, services, products.
Why the listing matters
For any business with a physical address or service area, the Google Business Profile often generates more qualified traffic than the website itself. Calls, directions, site visits, forms. And yet 80 % of Moroccan listings we audit are incomplete, mis-categorized, abandoned — because they're considered neither SEO nor marketing.
Our 6 GBP levers
No template. Every listing has its weak signals — we audit first to identify the lever you actually need.
Ultra-precise primary category (there are 4,000+, not 50), 3 to 5 aligned secondary categories, all attributes checked (delivery, Wi-Fi, accessibility, etc.) — each is a ranking signal and a user filter.
For a store: exact address with precisely positioned pin. For a home service: service areas (cities, neighborhoods) without public address. Never mix the two — Google penalizes.
At least 10 quality photos (exterior, interior, team, products/services, logo, cover), properly renamed, with consistent EXIF geolocation. Listings with 20+ photos receive 2× more clicks.
Weekly posts (news, events, offers, products). Often ignored feature but sends Google a signal of an active listing — and shows directly on the profile for users browsing it.
Systematic collection (post-visit request, checkout QR, email automation), 100 % response rate (positive and negative), proactive Q&A written to cover recurring questions before they're asked.
Products or services catalogue filled in the listing (name, description, price, photo). Secondary signal but rich result on Maps + helps local intent.
Anatomy of a good listing
We audit every listing against a checklist of 12 signals. Green = compliant, orange = needs work. Here's an audit example for a fictional dental practice in Casablanca.
Review management
Reviews aren't asked for "just in case." They're systematized with a repeatable, measurable process. Here's ours.
Checkout QR code, post-visit SMS, D+2 email, short link on the invoice. Goal: minimum 1 review per 10 customers served. Rhythm > volume.
Every review receives a response — positive or negative — within 48h. The response mentions the first name (when possible), the service delivered, and a specific thank-you. Never copy-paste templates.
No public battle. Acknowledge the experience, sincere apology when warranted, invitation to continue privately (phone, email). Well-handled 2–3 star reviews reinforce credibility.
Fake reviews (competitors, bots, insults) flagged via Google's procedure. Success rate: 30 to 60 % depending on review profile. Long process but to be run systematically.
Average rating, volume, response time, recurring keywords in positive and negative reviews. The analysis feeds the website and communication — reviews often say what customers don't say in person.
How we work
Initial optimization frames every signal. The monthly engagement that follows keeps the listing active — that's where competitors drop off, not at setup.
Audit of the 12 listing signals, benchmark vs 3 to 5 local-pack competitors, identification of quick wins and structural workstreams. Scoring deliverable + roadmap.
Description writing, category selection, pin, hours, photos (production or curation), services, products, first posts, proactive Q&A. 2 to 3 weeks depending on volume.
Device selection (QR, SMS, email), template writing, CRM integration if relevant, team training. Review velocity goal over 90 days.
Weekly posts, review responses, Q&A, new photos, fake review + competitor spam monitoring, monthly reporting (impressions, clicks, calls, directions).
Measured results
We apply to our own site the local method we sell. Visibility gains come straight from Google's tool. GBP metrics (map impressions, calls, directions) are reported by Google Business Profile Insights, not by an internal dashboard.
